GLSW Award Expedition Opportunity

The County is mounting an ‘on foot’ expedition for older Explorer Scouts and Scout Network members wishing to undertake an unaccompanied ‘practice’ or ‘qualifying’ expedition over four days (three nights camping) for the Queen’s Scout or Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award (as per the DofE 20 Conditions). The minimum age is 16 and the maximum age is 25. Expedition training should have been completed prior to an unaccompanied ‘practice’ expedition.
Details are as follows:

| Cost | £120 (includes transport, base accommodation, meals at base, assessment fees). Does not include campsite fees and food whilst actually on the 4-day expedition. |
| Deposit | A non-returnable deposit of £30 is required with the balance due before the expedition. Cheques should be made payable to GLSW Scout Council, and sent to Chris Dean 13 East Hill Road, Oxted, Surrey, RH8 9HZ. |

| Equipment | The County has a pool of expedition equipment available to borrow |

Participants must be at least 16 years old and have registered at Gold level. Training must have been completed, but we are also offering training to new participants.
