These pictures are from the August GLSW Duke of Edinburgh’s Award / Queen’s Scout Award 50-mile hike trip to the Lake District.

The pictures show Watermillock Village Hall – the base for the week, an acclimatisation walk on the hill overlooking Ullswater, last-minute route planning, the start of the hike near Lorton, the first steep ascent, the campsite at Seatoller, an early ascent beckoning on the way to Langdale, Ed Wilson being invested into Network at the end of the hike and the celebratory meal in Pooley Bridge.
